Soulbonding from the moods and ideas of poetry
I had a different experience that I think would be considered soulbonding. I've been trying to memorize The City in the Sea, the poem by Poe, as I once had it memorized. While memorizing it, I noticed that the poem became more alive every time I read it. Soon the poem wasn't alive - rather, there was a person, with the personality of the poem's mood and idea, who was with me.

For lack of a better term, I've called this idea-based or mood-based soulbonding, because that's what I feel it is. A soulbond came from an idea and a mood. Perhaps poetry-based soulbonding would be better, although I think that any place I could find a mood or idea such as that could generate a soulbond for me, should I grow so attached to it. (Any other suggestions for terms are welcome.)

Has anyone else had this experience? I wouldn't be surprised if others had, but I was curious, as usual.

We never have, but then, we aren't as creative as lots of the people on here. Like you, I'm sure someone has, but the idea is particularly striking to us--mainly because we have few gifts with poetry and attach to so few characters even in general.

As for what to call it, Sneakergirl immediately cried, "Poet buddy!" Not entirely sure if you want to follow her advice, though; she's not known for her great talents at naming things.

It appears that no one willing to comment here has experienced it. I'm surprised.

I kind of like that, Sneakergirl. :)

I'm sure it's been done--they just haven't gotten around here yet.

Yay! Poet Buddy for the win!

That's happened to me too. Matching lyrics with a soulbond helps me understand the bond better. I hadn't thought to ask about that. Thanks for mentioning it. :)

Well, I can't say I've heard nor experienced that ever before. I'm more likely to be weird and get attached to a random rock than a poem, to be honest XD It seems a little odd, because surely this means that technically you can soulbond with anything and everything if you feel strongly enough about it. I suppose that could be a valid enough statement in any case, it just seems a little strange.

...*sigh* says the girl with things in her head.

I imagine that one can soulbond with anything if one feels strongly enough about it. While I don't think that's the point of soulbonding, it seems like it could happen, given the variety of people who soulbond. To me soulbonding of any kind, even when it seems natural, still seems rather strange.
